clearly i am never going to stop weighing 167. >:(
no, i know that’s not true. and it’s partially my fault. i haven’t been trying as hard as i could. i’ve been staying within my calories, but just barely, and i’ve been working out, but just barely. i’ve just caught a serious case of the lazies lately for some reason. i think it’s because while i still really do want to lose more weight, i’m at least at a point where i feel like i look moderately okay, and so some of the urgency has faded.
HOWEVER! i’m going to disney world in less than a month, and while i know i’ll be doing lots of walking (and hopefully hitting the gym once or twice) while i’m there, i also know we have reservations at a number of awesome restaurants, and i fully intend to enjoy myself while i’m there. i won’t go completely nuts, but i will be having steak at le cellier and i will at some point be having tonga toast for breakfast.
the point is, i need to weigh less by the time i get there because i will probably gain weight on that trip. i would really, really like to be in the 150s by the time i go, which means i have to lose at least a smidge over 7 pounds in a little over 3 weeks. which is possible, technically, if i really get my head in the game.
c’mon, self! let’s goooooooooo!!!!
tumblr. as you know, i just registered for my first 5k (september 5! eeee!). the day after the race, i’m actually going to disney world, so, that’ll be awesome. i was talking about it on twitter, and a friend who’s a huuuuge disney fan (as am i) mentioned something about the races they have at disney.
i am now pondering signing up for the princess half-marathon at the end of february.
but…will i make it? people who’ve done half-marathons — how long did you train? around what was your pace? i think it would be sooooo awesome to do but i’m worried i might be jumping the gun, and i don’t want to spend a bunch of money and then not be in good enough shape to finish!
