meet billy! born 3.25.11 (he’s 12 days old in this pic)

‘sup fitblrs? remember me? :D?

so, i had my baby. he is awesome and rules all. i gained approximately one billion pounds while pregnant, unfortunately. i never reached my initial highest-evar starting weight of 219, but i came within a couple pounds of it. gross.

however! almost two weeks post-partum, i’ve dropped a decent amount of weight. i mean, i knew a fair bit would have to come off, but still, i’m relieved to see it go. i was secretly afraid that i’d give birth and only be about 10 pounds lighter, but instead i’ve dropped about 30 lbs!

i can’t really exercise yet, or even really diet for that matter, but we’re breastfeeding and that burns lots of calories, so it’s something. i’m also going to try and make healthy eating choices, but it’s hard right now — not a lot of time to prepare food, as y’all can probably imagine.

i probably won’t be updating here super-often for now, but i want to start checking in and staying accountable. i worked SO hard to lose 55+ pounds last year and i won’t be satisfied until i hit my goal weight of 150 (maybe 140 eventually, we’ll see).

so, first post-baby weight: 187.5.

here we go again.
